This is a stripped-down Windows 10 operating system based on Build 1511-10586 (also known as the November Update or TH2)
The minimum system requirements remain, as expected, the same, although this customized version of Windows should run faster than the original due to the number of changes made, listed below.
This is the second version, the version to support 32-bit CPUs
There is also the first version, which is 64-bit in my profile.
– Disabled Hibernation – Disabled Pagefile – Removed Firewall (although in some cases it may appear when using a program, and the service was not removed as it is essential) – Windows Update has not been removed yet, no guarantee it will work as I always disable it via servicesmsc (you still need to enable it to install Store apps) – Store apps should work in order
*** IMPORTANT NOTE: WHEN YOU GET TO THE “GET GOING FAST” SCREEN, CHOOSE TO CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS AND DISABLE EVERYTHING FOR WINDOWS TO WORK *** System Requirements • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor with NX/PAE SSE2 (if Windows 8 worked, this will work too) • RAM: 1 GB for 64-bit (technically only 512 MB needed) • Hard Drive Space: 20 GB • Video Card: DirectX 9 or later Changes and Information (the most important ones, anyway): – Removal of most Metro apps except Edge, Store, and Calculator – Removal of most non-essential drivers (like graphics, printers, network) These will have to be downloaded and installed manually, depending on each computer’s specs – Removal of some accessibility items – Removal of speech and Cortana support – Removal of search (the (search in Explorer still works) – Removed Windows Media Player – Enabled Windows Photo Viewer to be used instead of the “Photos” metro app, although images will open in Paint first, until the user changes the default app to Windows Photo Viewer.
– Store games no longer work (I couldn’t figure out why)
Non-UWP games (CS:GO for example) should still work, assuming you have your drivers updated
