Line of Events
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a television documentary journalist whose work is built on exposing the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. The extremely talented Russian blue cat in the Ravenscroft household improvises all of her own action and dialogue.
Never read the book, so judge the series as a stand-alone
In several episodes, Jonathon uses the same lens throughout the series, a medium-length telephoto. Such a lens would not be able to focus on close-up subjects like the selfies with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine.
The series is too long, too drawn out
It was intriguing and mysterious in the first few episodes, but by episode five I was like, “Oh my God, just wrap it up for once.” Catherine’s silence/constant interruptions as she tries to tell her side of the story seem like just a plot device to keep the story going. Obviously setting up for a "twist".
The constant, detailed sex scenes are just yuck
Literally pornographic. I don’t mind sex scenes, but if I wanted to watch “in-depth” sex scenes that lasted ten minutes, my first choice for that wouldn’t be Apple TV+.
